It was Friday night Feb. 14 . Our fist night in Porty, and I was just dieing for some nightlife . I asked around, and heard the Jolly Boys were up at GeeJam ,practicaly next door..come on sweety, lets go meet the JetSet..Sheila humored me as usual.well, I spent about 20 minutes looking for the place ,and finally might have been on the right track, I could see lights, and could hear music when I had to stop the car.The last hill looked way to steep and the gravel way to loose for my little yaris. It might be open to the public, but you have to drive a Range Rover to get there ! Not to be foiled totally, I drove to drapers and we had a few drinks in the street.Loud music and some very interesting characters sent us home early.I was driving, and was ready for more than a few. On Saturday we spent the entire day at frenchmans beach. It was really nice ,but it is expensive. I had read online that my hotel gave passes. it was no longer the case.so 2000j for 2.lounge chairs? yup 2. ,1000j ... Beer, rum,,lunch,,,all good ,and a lovely spot. And of course the water, that warm/cold mix.It is a very unique sensation. I was in the water most of the day. We stayed from 1100 to after 4. For entertainment there was a wedding being set up. There was also a large group of young locals, a college maybe. A really good day.
