Clearly offensive.
I try to always see both sides but Its not working for me this time.
After seeing how many people were offended it would be nice if the OP
were to apologize.

root,i don't know why I should apologize for something both you and I agree on wholeheardly.booger im surprised that you were the only one who got the joke.the rest of you ppl. should try to understand a joke before you come down on ppl.who do get the joke and have past it on for other ppl.to read.

I read it again. I got it. Really. I do "get" it. And I don't find it funny in the least. Combine that with the fact that Walt Disney was a raging anti-semite, well - it becomes "ironic" but definitely not funny.

It does Mud - I'm sorry you don't feel the need to apologize for posting something that has offended so many boardies. It doesn't matter who "gets" and who doesn't "get it." It matters that the majority of the people were offended. I personally strive to not offend people and if I do, and I have been made aware of it, I would certainly feel it my duty to apologize. Hey - but that's me - you can do whatever you want. I like the last line in the last paragraph in the article that Dread posted "Interracial friendships, social bonds across the color line, are a key factor in putting the sins of America's past behind us. But it's not something that's accomplished by white people knowing lots of black people. It helps if white people know how to be better white people"

not a nice joke, so why perpetuate it? as someone who has assimilated into african-american culture over the last 35 years or so, I find myself feeling quite out of place among my own "race" (white folks) nowadays. my friend took me to a local bar some years ago, and I couldn't wait to get out of there, just couldn't get the vibe. i have not heard african-americans telling racist jokes as part of their everyday conversations, but have heard plenty of discriminatory remarks (good hair/bad hair, light skin/dark skin) and lots of discussion about the peculiarities of white folks, LOL. not so much hatred, just discussion. phrases like "you people" don't really send a great message either.

MUD... I thought that joke was HELLA funny... stupid as hell but hella funny I shared it with some friends of mine and we started putting names in for the Dwarfs. Turned into a laugh riot over here.. But.. we were not to sure who WOG was cuz thats not a prevalent nickname in the hood.. care to enlighten us.. CTFU For real, its a joke, its stupid, sorry that so many got offended. I guess you have to have wicked humor like myself and friends to have gotten it... Was it the fact that it was a BLACK joke????? which I am.... Read here all the time now, but don't post much.... Lets be clear that I am not saying MUD should apologize or not, its his offering.. But we still laughing and putting names in for the DWARFS... CTFU

Strange what someone thinks is a funny joke and how many of us find it offensive. Racist jokes should not be shared or but some people do this in the attempt to make themselves feel "bigger" than "those people". See it all the time. And....if you are going to tell a "bad" joke, at least spell it right!
