Has anyone checked air fare recently? OMG!! I typically fly Delta - it was $1,500 last week - $1,800 this week!!

I used to consider $800 high!!!!!!

This is crazyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

What has everyone else been finding?

i normally do not start looking this early for my aug/sept.....but i did take a peek and wowzer YES, them high right now. (2,000 US) YIKES

Wanda, I went to Delta & even Kayak to check to see what a Christmastime flight would cost me this year & was astounded, could not believe it! Mind you, this is 9 months previous to when I would be next able to go! The flights began at just above $1200. I too have paid way less over the years. I think the cheapest I've ever paid was about $633, the most $740 or so. Needless to say, $1200 makes a trip to Jamaica prohibitive to me now!

As long as the gas prices are so darn high the airfare will be high. Ive been looking for tickets to Boston for a wedding in late June - Yowzers! I'm going to wait a bit and see what happens.

I just priced a flight from New York to Chicago - $230.00. The same flight last year cost $184.00.

I'm grateful that my business travel slows in the summer - but I'm still looking on booking a mess of flights for May and June. I hope they come down!

when considering extending my trip.....I looked at air. I paid 179 plus tax now it's 289 plus tax. The change of date will cost me 400
