Thinking about a day-trip that's not too far from Negril...which would be better?

I don't know Abeokuta, but I love the Roaring River Community, we were there the other day, and it was a peaceful, relaxing, but adventure filled day. We hung out at the Blue Hole and did a non guided tour through the area, and then had lunch at the Blue Hole Cafe. Contact Joy who run tings at the Cafe 876 893 4199. We had fry fish dinner and home maid Soursop natural juice drinks, very good.

You can easily do both in a day..Would do roaring river morning and Abekouta in Afternoon-evening..Watching the sun set over the Mts and valley is awesome..And the rasta Daddy makes some good Ital meals...
But yeah, there relatively close to each other and would definitely do both of them..
