skyauction - wit - 01-13-2011 my first time using skyauction..and I won. Anyone have any experience with them? Thanks
Re: skyauction - easton714 - 01-13-2011 My Pebbles trip was SkyAuction. Saved a ton. Felt uncomfortable dealing only by email. They also mischarged a credit card and it took a few days (again, only by email) to get it resolved...but it did get resolved. Biggest issue was that I negotiated an adjoining beachfront suite with SkyAuction for $60 extra per night (steal to me...Pebbles direct charged like three times that). When we arrived, Pebbles didn't have record of the adjoining suite and wanted me to pay cash (like $1,000 US). Thankfully, my SkyAuction confirmation had (at my insistance) the adjoining suite and "paid in full" written in the notes section. A manager had to get involved but it didn't take long for them to say "okay". In the end, I had a couple of headaches but I got $5,000+ worth of vacation (two adjoining beachfront one bedroom suites, AI, for four people, incl. transfers) for $2,000. Kind of hard to complain about that!
