Owls up in the hills, they sound very scary, like - Markospoon - 01-06-2011 I was up in tyhe hills, visiting a friend. It was night time, long after the sun had set. ROOOARRR. Owl? No mon, they have a low roar, like a lion. We were real real quiet, we listened and waited. ROOOARR, ROAARRR. Was the guy pulling my leg? Re: Owls up in the hills, they sound very scary, l - Eco - 01-06-2011 I've spent some time in the hills and have never once seen an owl.....are you pulling my leg that they even have them in JA? Are they little mini owls like in FL or giant owls like in the real world? Are they nocturnal(sp?) or do they come out during the day? Are they shy or can you get within 25-50 yards for pictures? Now I'm on a mission to take some pictures of them!
