Speaking of profanity... - Yvonne - 12-20-2013

Made a call to my local cable provider this afternoon as the local news channel was not working on the upstairs TVs. Also had some questions about service after talking to a friend across the state who told me what was going on w/ her service - same provider. Thought the issues might be related.

Of course, I got stuck in automated response hell & could not get a CS rep through the usual channels. I know what to do as I've had issues w/ my HD DVR cable box so we were very "friendly" & I called them frequently for weeks. Instead of getting connected to a CS rep for cable tech support I was repeatedly offered to be sent back to the main menu. WTF??? I don't think so. I got so frustrated because I knew my younger sister would be calling soon I swore "F*** you" at the damned automated voice. THAT'S when I got the "Your call is being transferred & will be answered by the next available agent."... what I'd been trying to do all along.

Lesson... if you can't get to a real human being (I said that several times, also representative, customer service, etc.) when stuck "talking" to an automated system, swear at it. It just might work. Not sure about patois. I probably would have resorted to that next.

Ha! I love it Yvonne! I find the f-bomb to be appropriate in almost any situation-LOL

Just the other day I was b*tching to Pineapple about our city officials. She said "run for office". I was like, yeah right, with my mouth. She said " You could run on the mf'er ticket"

ME? I'd never talk like that. (that's my story and I'm sticking to it.)
