JA newspaper editors - JonTom - 11-27-2013 Does the Gleaner (or Observer for that matter) newspaper have any editors? Or at least proofreaders? Today was just another example of seemingly daily articles that mention a person (often just a partial name) with no explanation at all of who that person is. It is made odder b/c other persons will have explanations of their profession, resident city, or, in the case of musical artists, their given name. Happens all the time when I read online. I've bought printed newspaper (both G. and O.) a few times when in JA but have seen similar, so I don't think it is online re-arrangement that causes this. Today's example: Me: 'Brown'? Who is 'Brown'?? Who is he? Oh well, just go with "he's the guy that went w/ Lizard to get the guns".
