wintering the bees - mud - 11-07-2013

wintering the bees.they need some protection from the -20 degrees temp in Minnesota,so I helped them out some by insulating the hive.dont know if this is going to help save them or not.i know ill lose at least 50% of them,but I hope the insulation will at least save some of them.we will see next april I guess when I open the hive to get MY share of the honey.also,does anyone know any beekeepers in Negril?since this is my first year raising them,i thought it would be nice to see how they do it in Negril.

Mud....you could go see Roughhouse...he raises bees and sells honey. He can be found down the road just past Seastar.

Anyone know what happened to the "quote" feature on this forum???
