Oh Schuttzie this is awesome! I love getting a feel for things through your eyes. Thanks a bunch for taking the time to do this. Did any of the mainland beaches that you visited have super calm water?

Suzengrace-- you have been to Vieques and Culebra? Is the water calm and sand white? Ya got any pics?

sophie -the water is super calm and warm...and lots of free roaming horses..

much of Vieques island is national park-so you drive to one of many beaches-kind of primitive -bring you chair(most guesthouses have them ) -towels -your cooler with food and have a wonderful day-lots of shde most places with trees..and not crowded...

I would goggle vieques island and see what you come up with..You really have to rent a vehicle there-but small island -people very friendly and not built up at all...It's one of my favorite places-would love to go back...

Thanks guys--- yes I have been doing a ton of research on P.R. It's just nice to hear it from someone I "know" SmileSmile Gonna be a while before we travel again but P.R. may just be a good fit for us. Those two little islands are calling my name.
