Question for OT - Tim - 06-09-2013

If I am not mistaken you are from Nova Scotia. (I think) Well my wife and I are spending a week there in July. I have been asked to represent our local in the Canadian sheet metal competition which is being held in Sydney. The actual competition takes places over 2 days so we will have some time to do a bit of exploring. We will be flying into Halifax then driving to Sydney. Do you have any recommendations of places to check out. Seeing as I am a passionate fisherman I love to hang out at marinas and look at the boats/ships/fisherman. People have told me the cabot trail is a great drive.

It would be great if you guys could meet up. I bet OT could give the best tours around the docks. I expect lots of pics when you return and if you do meet our wonderful Oldtimer please snap a few of him too.

Tim... Sydney is 200 miles from where I live. Cape Breton is wicked !!! Close to Sydney is Louisbourg is awesome (300th anniverisity this year ). Cape Breton has lots of stuff .The Cabot Trail is as good as your going to get. Pleasant Bay up past Cheticamp is very interesting . You wouldn't go wrong no matter what you do . Meat Cove , Neil's Cove , Baddeck , Big Pond etc . Have fun !!!
