Has anyone read through the report they put out last wek (on the Tivoli Gardens "incursion")?

I haven't made it through all of it, but just found the 8 page intro ("apologia") to be at once intriguing and yet at the same time funny as heck.

In some ways it is 8 pages of "woe-is-me, ya'll been plenty rough on me". And with very flowery language as well.

awww boi!!! this novel is getting good.

and secondarily, a novelist wanna-be, apparently ...

Realizing the real-world events of this whole affair were quite tragic, perhaps this report should be read more solemnly.

But... knowing a government agency produced this only amplifies the shock of reading such dramatized wording "They rudely awakened the
Clarke household as well as others in that tranquil locale, far
removed from the turbulence and tensions of inner-city Western
Kingston then prevailing."

(why not just go with "far removed from the similarly tranquil lapping waves on the serene beaches in Negril"?

or
"at great distance geographically and socioeconomically from the young boy in Standpipe, fighting the hunger in his belly and the hand life had cruelly dealt him at the same time" ?)
