Digicel question - ohliz - 04-16-2013

Hi,

A friend is lending me a blackberry for my upcoming trip. It's a Digicel one, his old one. He is getting a SIM for me and wanted to know about what minutes to put on for me.

He seems to think I need the international plan, which is $1200, plus local minutes. As I recall I can just buy regular minutes and use them internationally if I want, just costs more J$ per minute.

Anyone know offhand?

You can get an international plan for $1000J, it now gets you 660 minutes.

Yes Liz- just buy credit anywhere and put it on. You can call anywhere with the credit. Don't worry about how much to put on- you can buy credit at any little shop. People who make a lot of calls outside of Jamaica buy the international plan because they get a lot more minutes for their money.
