i didn't want to be around.

I don't know about anyone else, but a cool December in Jamaica is just not my cup of tea.

More power to you folks that do like the cool temps.
It was ok, just ok from 11:00 AM to 3 PM.

After 3 PM it started getting too cool for me.

It was nice, but I prefer warm to hot days.

My body can take it, of course, but something was missing.
Some kind of energy that the warm weather, even hot weather gives me was not there this last trip.

The early morning, when the sun is shining and it is already 75 is what I like.

Wake up, butt naked with coffee on the veranda floats my boat.

Give me the heat.

The winds were pretty strong, too strong for me to even swim.
The ocean was constantly full of white caps further out and big (2 feet) waves coming ashore.
I saw a few hearty souls out there, body surfing, catching a ride to shore.

I think there was 1 day that I saw the flat water for about 1/2 hour.

I want to swim in calm seas, no waves hitting me every 5 seconds.

It is just me, I am spoiled by numerous trips of hot weather.

The cool air, windy too, just made me not feel the 120% that I normally feel in Jamaica.

Long pants, long sleeve shirts do keep me warmer, but something was missing.

The good part is that there were hardly any mosquitoes around.
Maybe 5 bites in 10 days.
The usual humming at your ear when you are in bed at night.
There was none of that.

My J friends had on sweat shirts and long pants.

"You tourist think it is cool, to us it is cold" was said to me by nuff of the locals this trip.

This was my first trip in December.
Maybe it was un-seasonably cold for December.
I know that Florida got really cold too while i was in Jamaica.

So it goes, at least I can say that I tried it in December.

I'm so glad that Rastapher was there, he kept me active and that took my mind off of the cool temps most of the days.

i am not complaining of the cool fronts coming in from Florida.....much better than what I would have to put up with if I was in Michigan. Betcha you freezing your butt off up in Chicago right about now and wish you could be coolish here in Jamaica!

with all that being said...jamaica still nice ya know....even with the Christmas breeze!

ps...if it wasn't for the cold North we wouldn't be having this shit weather right now! LOL

Please make it be gone by next week. Do I need to toss in another pair of jeans? - I hate that! But it beats the hell out of top, fleece top, jacket, down coat, scarf, ear muffs, gloves, and still shiver.
