I personally love that place, really and truly -- during the early 1970's there were three places on the beach, Tee-Water, the Sands (with their treehouse) and the Sundowner. My place of preference was near to The Sands, very near to the Treehouse location. Plus I like the vibe of the place, how the workers who have worked their for so many years are still there.... A long time ago when my daughters were very young it was the only place I could find that had a crib. My youngest just turned 28 years old yesterday, just to mention how many years ago it was. I stayed there quite often when they had some great stage shows right there. The one in my mind was with Joseph Hill and Culture, "great show" for sure.
When you want to go to Negril and have really young kids in tow, the west end is not an option. The cliffs can be too dangerous for little kids on vacation. My kids did get the vibe of the cliffs once they turned 12 or so.

but Macy most kids don't have you as their mother see? I don't advise cliffs for kids sorry.

I hear you Macy on the beach 'experience'. I can only go by what I witness on the cliffs. Samsara espec.....parents drinking all day and not watching their small children. Accident waiting to happen period.
