It's been a while, so, I'll mosey on over to Ras's place and see what's up.

As i approached his house I could see a light on in his bedroom.

Ring, ring.

She opened the door with a flair!

Who is it?!
Who are you here to see!

I, I, I wanna know can Ras come out to play.

NO!! He was just in the hospital, he can't come out to play no more.

And with that she closed the door

Hmmmmm?

I ran around to the back and started to climb the gutter pipe next to Ras's window.

We had used this route on many a day, sneaking in and out early in the morning to go fishing.

When I reached the top, i peeked in the window, only to find his bed empty.

Hmmm, where's my boy Ras?

I opened the window, climbed in and tip toed out of his room and then I heard it.

A lot of water splashing all around.

Pssst, Pssst, Ras? You in there.

Hey Marko come on in!!
I came in and slipped on the floor.

"ouch"!!

Ras was up to his neck in the bathtub.

Gee Ras, it's Saturday, why are you in the bath tub?

"Aw man," Ras said, the boss lady says i must wash every morning, even if I'm not going out!

That sure is a cool neck brace you have dude.

Yeah mon, i can even hide candy in it.

We both laughed at his new hiding place.

Well, I'm going swimming today and I thought you could come out by now.

"Nah, i'm still grounded for about ....

"RAS, who are you talking to?, The boss lady shouted.

"How many times must I tell you , don't talk to yourself in the bathtub"!!

Heee hee Ras gigled .

Ras hopped out of the tub and grabbed his towel, running down the hallway towards his room.

I was right behind him when I heard someone coming up the steps.

Quick as cat, Ras jumped in to his bed and i hid in his closet.

Ras, You have been bad, you must stay in and heal up your neck and get your mind right. How many times must I tell you?

"What we have here, is a failure to communicate" she said.

And Mark, get out that closet at once.

I slowly came out and she stared at me like a cat looking at a wounded mouse.

"I've been watching you two sneak up and down that drainpipe for 3 years now" she said, You think I don't know?"

Cold busted we were.

Now get on home Mark.

Ras can come out to play when the doctor says he can.

And please, use the door on your way out!

I bid my farewell to Ras, and ran down the stairs and out the door.

Not fun to be in bed, being guarded and on lock down.

Ras, I miss You!!!
