Hawaii Bound and Back - National Volcano Park - macyoder - 02-28-2012

On day one we checked out Hilo, which we now and now was ready to see VNP. It wasn't just raining but pouring. I had great visions of hiking the 2 miles down to the Kilaea crater but it would be safe to do so.

The Kilauea caldera is 2 miles across
