I'll start, only because so many years have passed. About 10 years ago I cut my long hair very short. Andy and I were on holiday in San Francisco, and we went into a leather fetish shop (shhhh). We went our separate ways, and I was checking out all of the clothing and accessories, and people watching, of course. I saw a doorway that appeared to go into an adjoining room of racks of stuff, so I headed toward it. As I got close, a gal was walking from that room into my room. I looked at her, said "Excuse me", moved slightly to the right, then proceeded to walk straight into a mirror that I had mistaken for a door. I truly didn't recognize myself with my newly shorn spikes. The bounce off the mirror was loud, and I was the clown of the place It took me years to share that, but now I just look back and say "wow".

I was jerking off one day in the middle of Sunday school when I realized I wasn't in Sunday school....................

Boy do I have some embarrassing moments...

About 3-4 years ago I was on a trip to Negril.. There was a catchy song playing that year by Lady G and Lovingdeer called You Eat? It was playing everywhere!! So to lightening things up, I began to sing this song to every taxi driver, bartender, waitress that I encountered. Always received with a big smile but rarely an answer.

I get home and find out the song is not about nyaming food.

OK knicker time again:~

This is no great secret I tell this story often.

I was about 19 and still living at home. It was my Mum's birthday and for a gift I wanted to buy her a piece for the antique Wedgewood dinner service she was collecting (still is yawn yawn).

I cant recall how bc we didnt have internet in those days but I tracked some of the pieces down to an Antiques shop is some Godforsaken Provincial Town about 40 minutes train ride North of London.

(At night when I take my jeans off I whip my knickers off at the same time, no timewasting or repetative motions here, a well rehearsed and slick move in one).

So a few days before Mum's birthday Im up with the larks and ready for my journey. I put on clean knickers and my jeans from the night before and Im out the door.

I get to my destination and trapse around a bit but find the shop.

The shop was rather sumptious and very austere. The man who served me was so precise he made Jeeves as in Jeeves and Wooster seem like a right Chav! So Im standing there talking with PG Woodhouse about Wedgewood Patterns etc, trying not to sound too ignorant, when I happen to glance down at my feet and there by my ankle glaring at me were last nights KNICKERS.....(cue the Hicthcock Shower Scene music)!

Obviously the knickers from the night before, which I had forgotten about had wormed their way down the drainpipe of my jean during my expedition.

"OMFG...how do I get out of this one? If I walk away, or step aside the knickers will get left behind for CharleyBoy and all to see!"

So, motivated by panic, humiliation and sheer desperation just to get the hell out of there, I bring attention to them...

"Oh look there's a dirty pair of knickers on the floor" I squealed and pointed at them with horror! I speedily picked them up, shoved them in my bag and fled the building!

I laugh now, but still in some alone moments I cringe and Mum never got her Wedgewood that year!!

I only have one embarrassing moment in Jamaica....when I fell for the player. After 2.5 decades of travelling there . UGGH. Like I didn't know better?

2 years ago at my work Christmas dinner ranks right up there too...

My boss and his wife had picked me up to go out to dinner with the crew. I had a black shirt, skirt, tights and some pretty hot black boots. It was winter so I had on my "cheek length" coat on. I sat in the back. When we get out of the car, the wife asked are those leggings? Yep.. and Twirled a little and shoved my fancy boots forward thinking I was looking pretty good.

We walk in the back door and the only open spot is thru the dining area and to the end of the bar. About 6 of us are standing there and keep in mind we still had our coats on.

I reach down to make sure my skirt is straight and I can't find said skirt. I reach under my jacket and grab and grab..The dang thing was up around my waist! I sprinted to the bathroom and reajusted.. HOLY CATS did we laugh!

Venus - im still laughing - it sounds like you made the whole thing a lot more awkward by announcing it -if you had just pretended that it was normal to carry around dirty knickers everything would have been fine and your Mom would have had her dish.

It was about 30 years ago - I was in my early 20's.
I had the opportunity to spend a winter sailing in the Virgin Islands. I lived on an exquisite 72' old wooden sailing boat with a group of pretty wild friends.

One evening we happened to be along side a big ship of some sort - I can't recall where we were or why we were tied onto this ship - i think we must have had some of the non English speaking crew come down to our boat for a drink - there was a LOT of drinking going on in those days.

I guess they must have invited us over to see their ship. Eileene and I thought that would be great fun - we were pretty tipsy at the time , but we had our sea legs so we start climbing this rope that crew had rigged to come down to our boat - to get up on this huge ship. The crew guys were behind us ready to catch us if we fall - Half way up the rope it occurred to me that I was wearing a skirt without any panties - I whisper to Eileen - that "I don't have on any underpants"! and she said - "she didn't either"! (Perhaps we hadn't been near a laundry mat for awhile) Well the guys below us were getting one hell of a show. They brought us onto the boat and the next thing we know we are being escorted deeper and deeper into the bowels of the ship.

We are still rather drunk and just going along for the ride when the ships horn sounded. The ship was getting ready to depart - we turned looked at each other with panic realizing what we had done and managed to get off the boat in time.

A little while later from what looked like a tiny tiny sail boat next to that huge ship - we watched it motor away...

Can you imagine what would have happened if we didnt get off when we did ....
