help re computer disaster - Miss+Jamaica Soul - 12-14-2011 HELP This is a nighmare. tripped on the stairs when i was carrying my notebook and a cup of hot tea! My keyboard wont work apart from on screen keyboard which isnt too great either.....warranty will not cover water damage...any advice for me? Respect Miss Jamaica Soul x Re: help re computer disaster - jajewel - 12-14-2011 So so sorry, MJS....I spilled beer on my old keyboard a couple years ago & had to get an external keyboard, which did work....I hope you took a hair dryer & blew it on the keyboard for awhile...hope the tea was unsweetened...if there's sugar in it it's worse....Good luck Sorry I can't be of more help
Re: help re computer disaster - ohliz - 12-14-2011 You can try unplugging and removing the battery, putting the keyboard in a position to dry, and then try plugging in again. I understand the most damage is done not only by liquid but the combo of liquid and electricity. It may be too late if this happened awhile ago....
Re: help re computer disaster - VenusdeMilos - 12-16-2011 Ive heard you can put a cordless keyboard in the dishwasher, but I never want to try that myself. Rice is also very good in your salt celler. Niether of which are of any use to you Miss JS...wishing your computer well! x x
