Hey all -

I know I haven't been much lately - but wanted to make sure that those of you who aren't already aware hear this story from me - and please, despite what has been in the media, and continues to be in the media - believe that what I am telling you is what happened, as best I know it. As you know, I keep my relationship private - and one of the biggest reasons for that has become an unimaginable nightmare.

My fiance was murdered by the police in Portland on Monday night. The reports are stating that it was a domestic dispute between him and "one of his girlfriends" and that she went to the police to report he threatened her with a gun, the police escorted her back to the house, she went inside to collect her things, he chased her out with a machete, and the police shot him because he refused to drop it.

The real story of what happened, is that this woman is a psychotic ex of his - she knew of me, she showed up places we were in JA - she ran around looking for him, telling people that he would never be with me, that he would never be with anyone other than her - She was also involved with a Portland police officer. She showed up at his house Monday afternoon arguing with him, he told her he was marrying me next month, that she needed to leave, etc...- She left - during that time his children's mother brought the children to the house, and were inside the house with them (and I have spoken with her, and trust me when I tell you there is no love lost between us - he left her for me)- this woman came back banging on the door screaming for him to open - he ignored it for a while, then got up and opened the door. She apparently had gone to get her boyfriend and he and his friend (another cop) returned with her to the house - they took a taxi and were in plain clothes.

When he opened the door, she stepped to the side and her boyfriend shot him in the foot and chest - he fell to the ground and people ran to help = the cops ordered them to not touch him, and shot him again in the head. His friends managed to get him in the car and to the hospital, and he was still breathing - the cop STOPPED the doctor from working on him, and he died.

Right now there is an INDECOM investigation, the officers have been removed from duty, and she is being held -I am destroyed, his family is devastated - all because some psychotic bitch couldn't have what she wanted, a beautiful man has been destroyed.

If you have any faith in anything, please pray that some justice will come to those responsible for this senseless death........ A beautiful, loving, caring man was murdered in cold blood and is being portrayed as an evil violent abusive criminal. He was killed in front of his children, who will have to grow up with the last view of their father being shot to death -

We all know the corruption that exists and the jealousy and greed -this is the worst possible example of it all, that no one can imagine. We have all watched and participated in the tragedy of Mickey Hill - we have all seen other stories - if you are involved in any activism in Jamaica at all, please continue to speak up and use your voice and try to bring a change - he didn't deserve this - no one would...

So, so sad. Will it never end? I'm so sorry for your loss.

Suz I am so sorry for your loss. I am sure you are absolutely devestated right now. The police corruption seems as if it is only getting worse. They are truly THE biggest gang in Jamaica.

I am so sorry, so angry, so sad, so heart sick and so much in tears. I cry for your loss and so many others taken senselessly and way too soon. I pray that God gives you the strength to get through this. I pray for answers as to why this keeps happening. No one deserves to die this way.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss and pain. I read a report on Facebook by On The Ground News a couple of days ago. The report didn't sound right to me when reading and the first thing that came to my mind was "Oh God don't let this be another Mickey Hill type killing." I was hoping my gut was wrong.
