Does anyone on the board Geocache? It's like a treasure hunt for grown ups. Other people place items in a secret spot and other people go and find the "treasures" using GPS or smartphones. When you find the cache (weather proof container), you log the date and your name. If you take an item, you leave an item of same or greater value (usually a token gift or something not very valuable but has meaning to you).

Today I had to travel for work and I had a few mintues to spare so I went hunting. The nearest cache was in an old cemetary. It reminded me of the thread I started about taking photos of graves in JA. I didn't find the cache, I think it was "muggled" (taken away by someone who doesn't know what it is).

What I did get was a neat picture of the cemetary. Most of the markers were from the early-mid 1800's.

I took the picture and thanked the souls buried there. (I'm a little superstitious).

And here is a picture of a grave that is down the road from my parent's house. There was a geocache in the area but while trying to find it, I was attacked by yellow jackets so we turned back.

Here's my brother with a cache he found in another old cemetary this summer. This one was "bugged" so we recorded the # then place it another geocache. It made it's way from California to Ohio! It's mission is to get back to Cali.

On the geocaching website it says that there are over caches all over the world. I wonder if there are any in Jamaica? Wouldn't that be cool!

hmmm have never heard of Geocaching...but it sounds like fun!

I love the cemetry pictures...my girlfriend and I walk the cemetry in our area to get our hill work in...perhaps the next time I should take my camera with me!
