Mobile Phone Picture Posting - dreadneck - 10-05-2011

There's been interest shown in having the ability to post photos from camera phones and mobile devices like iphones, etc. The obstacle is the inability of the mobile browser to upload.

I'm working on a solution and will need your help to make it a reality. The simplest solution would be a two-step process where Step 1 would be to an either send an email or an MMS message containing your Subject, photo, and message text to a designated email address.

The email would be processed, sending your photo to the proper storage location, and formatting your subject and body into an actual post and saving it.

In Step 2, you would then visit the board, go to the posting screen, click a button, and your new post contents would be retrieved and placed in the posting box.

You would preview, and post as usual.

I'll be working this out over the next several days.

If you are interested in this capability and would like to participate in testing, or have any ideas, questions or comments, please don't hesitate to post here.

I can do it on iCab, but you need to do it the old way.
