Here we go... - Van - 09-20-2011 Looks like the rumour I posted is coming to fruition..hmmmm...Loosening up on Visas, etc etc all part of the big game plan.. http://www.jamaicaobserver.com/business/Gov-t--hotel-investor-in-casino-gaming-licence-talks_9750395
Re: Here we go... - bozz - 09-20-2011 just what is needed, not too many loosing their souls and everything else to gambling....the slots are everywhere already...in the smallest of places that i never thought i would see them....sad
Re: Here we go... - wit - 09-20-2011 OM*^*^&^&^*^* G. Will these people NEVER see the light? Fast cash eh? yup drawing more undesirables. Lovely. How about FIXING the infrastructure and providing SERVICE and a safe environment? Nahhh go for the quick buck ...it's worked so well thus far...NOT.
Re: Here we go... - Van - 09-20-2011 The article is actually rubbish in some regards. That license is already in someone's pocket...these are just formalities. Was supposed to be Palmyra before..they bankrupting.. Word on the street West=Lucea...not on the beach side.... And. Mobay Hope looked better/better upkept BEFORE the Spanish Hospiten took it over. It looks rundown now.
Re: Here we go... - sunray - 09-21-2011 A 2000 room development in the west? What a monstrosity that would be. Would it be a high rise or sprawling resort eating up massive land area? If a casino is built the developers want the patrons to be in the casino gambling, not on the beach or taking tours. From what I understand thousands upon thousands of rooms sit empty in Las Vegas, for lack of takers. I don't see a large hotel-casino complex being a positive thing for Hanover or Westmoreland.
