Re: Jamaican Guinness - macyoder - 09-19-2011 I am really NOT a drinker EXCEPT for an occassional light Irish Ale. Now and again, a bottle, oops I mean a glass of white wine, maybe a few mix drinks, and need be a shot of Tequila. Cheers to those who partake but alcohol is really not my thing...LOL!
Re: Jamaican Guinness - oldtimer - 09-19-2011 YUCK !!!!! Yuck and yuck one more time !!!! It tastes exactly like goat p***,and don't ask me how I know.Red Stripe and Kingston are my choice.

I like Dragon Stout Spitfire!!! I drink all my beer 'HOT'!!! I like it 'cause it tastes so good to me...and at 10% alc. it packs a real punch!!!! Re: Jamaican Guinness - suzengrace - 09-19-2011 Kingston and Spitfire..Two I've never tried...Wondering what the Kingston taste like and what its entire name is (ie brewery, etc) although i can bet it doesn't taste like goat pee (LOL )...
Re: Jamaican Guinness - Jenny - 09-19-2011 Surely cannot drink a Guinness due to the HUGE amount of carbs in them, but I surely do enjoy the white & red wines available in Jamaica. I really like the Chilean & Argentinean wines!
Re: Jamaican Guinness - suzengrace - 09-20-2011 What RG is describing is a drink that has been around in the Mexican culture since 1940's and you can get it more Authentic Mexican restaurants here in So.Cali.- It''s called the Michelada-beer, tomato or clamato juice, lime juice, sauces,spices.. Budweiser also started marketing a canned beer similar called chelada (I think) I;ve never had it but always see if for sale in the local Mexican stores that sell cerveza.. Look it up in the internet for recipes-really great for hangovers ....
Re: Jamaican Guinness - Tim - 09-20-2011 Red Stripe is the only beer I drink in Jamaica. And the colder the better. Gonna miss the frosty bottles from For Real. As for beer and clam - thats a breakfast and premeal snack any time we are on fishing trips.
