Waiting for the storm.... - jajewel - 11-04-2010 Skies are overcast right now....I've picked up all lightweight small objects out of the yard & stored them. Laid our loungechairs flat & broke down the bamboo tables on the back porch.....got water stored & big bags of ice made in case power goes out. Will be starting the last dinner prep. soon. I really am not expecting anything too bad on the north coast where we are located, even less on the west side of Ja. (Mobay & Negril)....got candles ready....hoping I won't lose power for internet & light. Better to be safe than sorry I guess. My heart is with the Haitian folks in tents right now. They really need everyone's prayers. I will give updates if the power stays on.
Re: Waiting for the storm.... - doctoro - 11-04-2010 On my side folks are going about like nothings on the way, all day the sun has been shining, then a cloud will go overhead, move on and sun is back. My Family and yard mates don't seem concerned in fact every time I suggest something or ask a question I am told, 'don't worry yourself girl ain't noting gon happen" Anyway, I stocked up on can goods, and wata, and of course my Pepsi, I'm ready. JaJewel,Lori and all here Stay safe, Stay dry, and stay mindful. God Bless Haiti and Jamaica.
