Why I May Never Complain Again - macyoder - 06-22-2011

While uploading and organizing pics, I decided to take and peek at my credit card statement. I am trying to decide if I can still afford the cheese in Macaroni and cheese.

Here are some things I bought for amounts unimaginable. Keep in mind water is not usually served in restaurants, ice is rare, no butter with bread, only oil and vinegar with a plain (lettuce leaf) salad and coffee in a itsy, bitsy cup. So after the conversion with a card with no foreign exchange fee.

Copenhagen-
McDonalds Mcflurry cup - $5.
Regular pitcher of water, with a sliver of lemon - $6

Vienna-
Margarita and Tequila Sunrise at a bar with a nice view - $16 each. Yes, the view was spectacular but hardly heavenly:-) An uncooked chicken about 4 pounds- $20. A decent slice of pizza- $4, one scoop ice cream cone- $2.

Rome/Florence-
10 ounce can of soda $2.50 -$3.50. A ice-cream cone (gelato)$3. R/T train from Rome to Florence: $130

Barcelona-
10 ounce can of soda: $2.50 - $3.50 (served w/o ice)
Cheap buffet/kids friendly - $15. A
12.5 ozs box of store brand cereal - $5

Copenhagen was the most expensive with Vienna being the "cheapest".

I guess here is where I recall the Visa commerical about the true cost of the trip PRICELESS:-))))))
