Didn't Tammy spend a whole lot of time, effort, and probably money, to close down her previous board and create a whole new message board because of the negative posting going on about the other site and it's owner? I see from other threads that it hasn't really stopped. It is great when we bring a topic from that board over to this one to continue the discussion for the benefit of those who can not longer access or post on that board. However, I think it could probably be done without all the negativity and bashing of the other board and owner. I know some people have strong feelings toward that board and owner, but I would just hate to see Tammy (and Dreadneck as well) have to go through that all over again.

To add to that, there are some, I don't know the numbers who actually frequent both boards, but I could see that ( the bashing ) becoming a problem.

I know people want to vent...and Tammy has offered that in this forum, but positive vibes is what I love about this board...as well as 'freedom of speech.'

The old board was forced to shutdown by complaints lodged against it regarding content. The old Terms of Service were very restrictive with regards to content. Basically the hosting service had editorial control over the board content. This restriction was strategically exploited by complaining among other things, that "Negril" was being slandered, even though it is not a person.

Once the board was shut down, it couldn`t be reinstated until the offending material was removed, which of course was impossible, since access was removed - a real life catch-22. The new hosting service does not have editorial control and you all are solely responsible for what you write.

Regarding sharing material from other sites - it`s very common and even encouraged all around the internet today. As long as we are discussing ideas and not people`s personal traits, it`s probably all good.

In any event, a repeat forced shutdown of the board is highly unlikely.
