Change of Plans - medi - 04-23-2011

Well, I thought it was all settled. I stay from August 10 to 31st at Rayon, the first week with my friend Lori who would arrive on the plane with me...

Well, they say if you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans, and I guess that's the same for the Veterans Administration too...

I am going through surgery on May 12th..all my remaining teeth will be extracted and any uneven parts left ground down to be even..

but this is the VA, and the VA doesn't think veterans are worth temporary dentures. They told me it would be at least eight weeks until they would consider me healed enough to be fitted for the permanent dentures, and then it would be another eight to twelve weeks after the fitting until I would get them back. Sad Sad Sad

soooo...that would mean I don't get them back by August 10th. Talked it over with my friend, and we agreed it would be better if she went like the first week of FEb and I would go with her for the week then. BUT. I do NOT want to wait until Feb for my next reach, it has already been too long..

So I have decided that as soon as I get my dentures, I will be packed and ready to go..I plan on staying a full month and it would either be the full month of September or at worst, the last two weeks of September and first two weeks of October.

Now I don't know for sure yet where I will be staying, but I know I will be in Negril as soon as humanly possible..it's the only way I know I will be able to get through this upcoming long and painful weeks ahead.

And now I need to start the search of places to stay all over again. I hope to find one about $800 for the month including ac. If anyone has contacted me earlier about a place, please do so again if you don't mind. I will be able to pay for the place by July latest for September trip.

Sorry you have to go through that process but think you definitely want your gums healed up. Then you also will have to have your dentures fitted. Also in February it us high season so would go before that. I hope your dental surgery goes well and you can get your trip planned again.
