yo lola...some sad news for you - loops - 04-21-2011

prob not the place to tell you this....but wanted to share with you the news that Irene Grondin passed away on tuesday. do you remember her?

i recently came across a CEI Ventures newsletter that had a pic of the 3 of us on the back...as new employees. man...do we look young! that was 19 years ago.

Irene went out of work only 2 months ago...had been diagnosed with colon cancer. we were all so hopeful of her return but it was not to be. 55 years old. Some long faces about the workplace this week.

Get your colonoscopies people!!!!

lola and i worked at the same place way back when she lived in Maine...she left...and i still work there.

Yes, I remember her - she loved pictures of water wheels! Wow, so sorry to hear this.

I am not much for those kind of tests (what makes money becomes popular even if not proven to prevent disease or improve outcomes - was just reading this about colonoscopies in particular) and such altho I participated in a research study about 15 years ago for a free sigmoidoscopy - just goes around the first 'bend' - and they removed a small non-cancerous polyp. Because of the polyp I should get checked again - I would maybe do another sigmoidoscopy first and if something showed from that, go further.
