I am at that lovely age where having by boob trapped between a vice with my arm extended upwards is a necessary evil or a strange form of foreplay. Yes, over 40 and doing the mammogram.

I had my done recently but to my dismay I had to redo it because of 'spot' on the film. Luckily everything was fine but now I got the bill. Of course I started to bitch about having to pay the deductible/copay for the exam. My 12 years old daughter asked, maa shouldn'y you be glad that you got a bill and not cancer?

She had remembered what I had forgotten. This year her aunt and my SIL, got the bill and also the diagnosis of breast cancer. I have a daughter who at 12 can do what I have failed at so many times, put things in perspective. She is 12 going on 30!

It is all about perspective. I could bitch that I had cancer twice, once in '99, once in 2000, until I remember my cousin Lori, my mom's sister's daughter, who had it three times, and died of breast cancer..and even though I had to have parts removed, none of them were of the visible kind!
