Beryl live reporting from Negril - kylake - 07-03-2024 Robert Ray with Fox Weather is reporting live from Negril. He was first at the Royalton section on Rutland Point and also the Rock Pool at Point Village. He better be careful on the Rock Pool or he will be swept off the rocks by a rouge wave. RE: Beryl live reporting from Negril - TAH - 07-07-2024 Man, our first time at Point Village back around 2003 or so, we had a pretty good storm come through one night. Woke us up with the massive waves crashing on the little cliff there. We stupidly then spent about 15 minutes in that salt water pool getting tossed around. It was fun, but pretty stupid. Had a really massive wave hit, we could have easily been swept out and then smashed on the rocks.  Glad I was able to get on today, I haven't even tried this past week or so. For a couple weeks straight I couldn't get onto the site at all. Happy to see something has been tweaked! Thanks Dread.  RE: Beryl live reporting from Negril - kylake - 07-07-2024 Yes, TAH the rock pool is nice but I have seen people hurt simply entering the pool if the surface is slick (as it sometimes can be).
