Good work TAH Sounds like it must be right to me .

RE: TAH..N75 .. Firemon an anyone else - TAH - 09-18-2023

I haven't tried to figure out posting pics here yet... but one of these days I will. I mean, there are/were likely more than a handful of varieties around the island "back in the day". I don't know what I have, exactly, it's definitely not quite pure sativa/NLD type, but heavily leans that way. It's purple, but in a different way than modern purple strains. Very elongated, spear type colas, fairly thin when grown in Michigan... very pungent, yet intensely fruity smell. Grapes, Citrus, mango, a bit of banana maybe? But not totally fruity, there's a strong spiciness to it, super sticky. Stems are red/purple, leaflets get very thin toward the crown, but the main sun leaves aren't as thin as a Thai or something like that. It actually looks like it's going to finish, which I didn't think would happen, so I'm stoked about that.

I'm not claiming it as any particular thing, just some really nice looking/smelling herb, but haven't smoked it yet. But the origins are beyond doubt, since I collected it myself, which is important to me.

People always " thank the army/navy/air force " for their service so I'm thanking you for " your service " You are turning into a true Bush Doctor ... ( I bet most people don't know what that is )

Just trying to preserve a few things in seed form, because I hate the direction the cannabis "industry" is going. I hate that it has become an industry at all...

TAH,

If by chance your project to go to Jamaica is realized I will gladly give you the names and introductions to two people who might be able to help your cause. Sonny a coffee farmer in the Blue Mountains and Jacky a photographer in Kingston who lives in St. Ann. Besides being a photographer she has fertile farmland between Ochie and Spanish Town. Both can probably put you in touch with legit Ganja growers in your search for Lambsbread seeds!! Keep me posted on your plans. Runnings, John

Thanks man, we'll see where things go. I no longer believe Lambs Breath to be an actual strain. I think, and I've heard this before (and it was backed up by a Jamaican old timer last week), that it's just an old Jamaican slang term for their very best ganja, from a given crop or year. I think I posted something to that effect further up thread, possibly more clearly (I'm pretty stoned, sampling this years crop).

But there are/were definitely a few main strains around the island back then, and probably quite a few regional varieties as well. Mine is almost done, which is surprising. It's definitely not that old pure tropical sativa, there's a hint (just a hint) of indica in there somewhere. But it smells amazing, and has pink/magenta stigmas (hairs), and purple/magenta striations in the resin glands. The buds have a pinkish hue to them, even in the leaves, but they're also running out of food and it's getting cold at night. That brings out anthocyanins, which bring purple/reddish tints, and also a "purple" flavor, typically.

If it were a pure tropical type, it almost definitely wouldn't finish here in Michigan. So I guess it's good for me that it does seem to have a bit of something else in it. Didn't get as many seeds as I thought, but I only lightly pollinated it. Probably under 100 seeds altogether. We'll see in a couple weeks.
