Friday Music (7/14/23) - Firemon - 07-15-2023 Featuring the Cool Ruler Starting with the hit that launched his career. Gregory was a frequent performer at Bourbon Beach and was prominently featured in the mural behind the performers on stage. When he played there the set would be unbelievably tight. One song would end and one beat later the next song would start. Rumor had it he was battling management over pay so he would only agree to sing a set number of songs and not say a full 90 minute performance. Still he was very professional, dressed sharp, hit every mark, drew you in with winks and smirks, and made the girl you were dancing with swoon in your arms. Now you toss in the fact you're in Jamaica dancing barefoot in the sand with the Caribbean lapping at the shoreline and a beautiful night sky above, well, that right there is a treasured memory.
