RE: Question for Tah - TAH - 07-02-2023 Yeah, I'm very familiar with the Allman Brothers, the song history and all of that. I had just never heard that particular version, with the Dead playing along side the Allman Brothers at that show at Watkins Glen. I listen to a lot of old shows on youtube, to find different versions of songs. RE: Question for Tah - TAH - 07-02-2023 I grew up on that music in my house, my mom always had 60's-70's tunes playing when I was young. I'd sit with the turntable and jam to all the albums I liked, for hours. Henrix was, and will probably always be my favorite. After that it gets tough, but I really like the Grateful Dead, Zeppelin, Floyd, Allman Bros, Jefferson Airplane... from that era. But my taste in music is pretty vast. Sometimes I go from Hendrix, to newer stuff like Modest Mouse, Blues, some Heavy Metal if I'm in the mood, to Billy Strings, Reggae, Dancehall, and even some rap. Eclectic, I guess. RE: Question for Tah - Negril75 - 07-02-2023 TAH, Did you ever have the good fortune to see the ABB live?? Always a great show!! RE: Question for Tah - TAH - 07-02-2023 I wasn't born until the tail end of the 70's. |
