Today the sky is smokey and the sun an odd red as a result of smoke from Canadian Forest Fires. I know about NS but seemingly there are more in Quebec too!!

What the F is going on up there?? What a total smoke screen down here. Reminds me of childhood when burning leaves was commonplace. The air is so filled with smoke and the smell is over powering!!

You should be here !!! On the south shore of NS one fire has destroyed over 300 home and buildings . Up my way there were only a couple of fires and they got them pretty quick . The big fire on the south shore THEY KNOW !!!!!!! who set it . Roofers were working a block over and saw smoke so they went to the top of the house to see a woman burning garbage in her wooded backyard and all of a sudden trees started to explode . They got off the roof and packed their gear and then went door to door to get people out . There were 2 houses that had pets and no one home so they kicked the doors in and saved the pets . Good men those guys !!!!! Now what will happen her ? This is one of many times she has started fires BECAUSE it was her property and no one has the right to tell her what to do . So now its 150K acres , over 300 homes and buildings and how much wild life ???? AND IT'S STILL BURNING !!!!!!!! If this was the US of A she might have turned the guns on the firemen for trespassing !!!!

Without a doubt she would have shot the firemen if stateside. And she would have a pardon if certain politicians had their way!!
I can only imagine what it looks like on the ground in NS!! The end of the World!!

Ah, the segment of the population, or professions, who can do anything they want to (the lady in question) is a very interesting detail.
I do recall a "baby gender announcement" party with an explosion during dry season which went wrong.
But back to my first paragraph, praise to the roofers for the all their actions.

some are under control and some they called contained ? It's hard enough to get a porch build what are these people going to do to get a house built ?
