TAH question - oldtimer - 11-02-2022 I was out getting pine cones today and under 2 pine trees there were blue mushrooms about 1 inch across and about 2 inches tall . Any idea ? I have never seen them before . RE: TAH question - TAH - 02-27-2023 Hey OT, I'm sorry I just saw this. I haven't been on the board in quite a while, the internet wears me down sometimes. I weep for humanity... not really but in spirit.  I'd have to see pics of them to identify. It would depend on just how blue, where they're blue, size, do they have a veil, and a bunch of other things to look for. Could be Blue Meanies, if so then I'm really sorry I didn't see this sooner!  Hope all's good with you, OT.  RE: TAH question - TAH - 02-28-2023 Hey OT. After doing a little digging, I only see a couple of species that are truly blue in your area.  My guess (without pics it's a wild guess) would be Cortinarius Violaceus. It's edible, but not the fun kind.  Your best bet for the fun types would be the little tiny grassland psilocybe's (not cubensis though), commonly referred to as Liberty Caps.
