As a request for ffCindy.. - oldtimer - 02-26-2021
I realize that many of you fine people are friends with Rob Graves . On the Beingee board of days gone by are the stories that ffCindy wrote . Because of things being very slow these days it might be a lot of fun to see some of her stories taken out of the archives and posted like the old being new again . Since there is no way in hell he might do this for me he might do this for a friend and think it as a good idea . I know that everyone would find it fun to read . Right from us oldies to the newbies that would certainly find it interesting and a fresh read . I really hope this doesn't fall on deaf ears .This is not for me but for the many readers of this boards .

WHen I read the subject line, I reacted with "Wait. She's dead" and a slight "maybe that is someone else" but also, no, she is dead long time. Hard sentence to create "that was respectable of you to bring her up", unsure I am of respectable vs honorable, for FToT post does honor her, or the memory or her.

I met her once. Memorable.
A gal/girl in Negril recently passed, Barbara, and it seems like those women were alike, "Loved by all."
I am not sure if the happy news board has old, old postings. I didn't go there and search. I'm not about to ask Rob to spend his time searching. He might but I would think he is more atune to current affairs.

It is coincidence that just recently, somewhere else, someone or some group was asking for money and someone else said (my wording) "Send it to me and I will wire it to them." I say coincidence because I remembered there was a stink about donations being mis-directed to a persons own spending account many many years ago.
I could go into many cases of donations being pilfered (sp), mostly current events with one involving Negril, but that's my history.
As a joke here, there are not lots and lots of boardies. There are only six. And another six who keep clicking on posts, yielding hundreds of page views. But how can I judge the people who enjoy being here but wish to remain in the background. The joy they feel just isn't shared back by posting anything.
Don't know, or don't remember, why/how DToT got on Rob's naughty-list, and won't explain why I got on it twice. So I won't be making a request for archieve research. I think the really old stuff was not saved. There might be some computer which stored many, many things. Humor2 - I wonder how many computer tapes would be required now-a-day to perform a back up. Or, if not tape, there's an explaination for shrinking beaches - silicon to make computer chips to remember it all, which will all get erased the next time Texas loses power. (there will be a current-events test at the end of this posting.)

After you view the photo, scroll down and click on the next link. There are a dozen. Or start at the bottom link and keep clicking on "in response to" to view the next, which is the previous. The message board is very old-style, but like many old things, it still works.
Keep wearing your masks. If planning on a trip south, the $150/200 C-19 test is needed (sometimes free if you can get our government to pay it) and the test to fly back north is $50 AT THE AIRPORT when you depart.
Sometimes less is more, but sometimes people want something to read.
