+--- Thread: The Rum tour that wasn't (/showthread.php?tid=102731)
About 4 or 5 years ago I saw Hampden rum for sale in stores in Lucea . Have not seen it since . Curiosity struck I searched and found https://www.hampdenestaterum.com/
I made arrangements for a tour and invited friends to tour the distillery . We got teribly lost in the cockpit country , and totatly missed our tour time . We did manage to find this hidden gem , and you can be sure I will return for the full deal . We met some awesome staff , and did hang out on the grounds for a bit . Yes i bought enough rum to make the day pay off . Another adventure finally led to this .

Very , very cool !!!! BEAUTIFUL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pics .
Always love an adventure like that. I did a solo trip to Puerto Rico once chasing tarpon. I stayed a couple nights in the small town of Rincon, but ended up needing to go to a larger city to get money from the ATM. I made it there fine but took a wrong exit coming back and found myself up in the hills. Not a huge deal but absolutely nobody I stopped to ask for directions spoke english.
I have never heard of that rum brand, but will be looking for it. We enjoyed our Appleton tour - no lack of sampling there, including the serve yourself rum punch we overindulged in while waiting for our tour time.
