Advise it wasn't ('cept maybe the invent-something part); Suggestion, perhaps. Hope for something new, something safer, definately.

Since a PFD is worn externally, perhaps a flat whistle in a pocket near one's neck. No undressing necessary. As for the light, which couldn't be water activated like on an airplane vest, I had not thought out the details. But as for the radio becon, hand held is not an option. When a skier gets burried, they are immobilzed under the snow. Can't move. I think diafram/lungs don't fuction either, depending.

A day at the beach doesn't have fishing gear tangling you up and dragging you down. Admittedly ignorant, as with a tornado which isn't just wind; It's cows, trees, house roofs and other projectile damage inflicted on humans and everything else in its path.
