The article is really about Negril finally getting a working ambulance.
That's good news (still can't resist a little "those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it").
But good for the Health/Wellness Foundation and Issa Foundation and others that made this happen.

Jon, utter board created alternative facts before Kelly Ann coined the phrase.
Yes Daniel it will be nice if they do regular maintenance (like simple oil changed) and don't crash. I believe both were a problem with the last vehicle that was bought/donated.

trivia and probably all wrong (slight pun) one of them overturned avoiding something, IMO because the driver did not realize those boxes are top heavy. Recent one, a gift from Japan, was up on a cinder block waiting for parts for front left wheel. A little earlier there were two in town, one working, one not, and a news story or letter or msg board comment said when the other was fixed, it would be transfered someplace else.
The latest story of one in Sav was also waiting for parts - also a wheel related repair. There was a photo. It showed Gift from Japan. I do not know the status/outcome but I immediately wrote to the Japanese embassy in Kingston saying it a nice gift, etc., but like the prior one in Negril, it was needing parts not available on the island, and, perhaps the government or the DEALER was treating obtaining said parts on a routine basis, yet considering the importance, I asked if they could help and if airplanes do not regularly fly between the two countries.
Hey, at least I did something constructive. I never received a reply.

during my two weeks in negril, i heard numerous sirens . . . don't know where the ambulance takes ppl . . . that is the question . . .

During my 3 months in Negril I don't think I laid eyes on an ambulance. Doesn't mean shit to a tree really - but this made me think of that! (Can't remember hearing sirens either but saw plenty of cops).
