Streamertail, most here probably don't know you are basically next door to the construction. Are they still pounding on the point out from 102. 
If so I believe that has nothing to do with the collapse from what I saw of the pictures in the news it was much further into the property.

I'm not sure which part of the property the person lives on, the one that informed me of the hammering, but I'm told that it's still noisy there.

Thought about emailing one of the names on that NCC PR about the jack hammering, but with the "investigation", would the contractor be so bold as to violate a stop-work order?

Overlooking the accident, this project and the government does seem to be another cross between an episode of the Keystone Cops and a movie title "Comedy of Errors." Stateside, in a small corrupt borough such as Fairview NJ, it would be "Business as Usual."

There was a construction halt once before - lasted a few hours. Yes, they would violate the stop order just like everything else.

There was only one time that the hammering stopped and the trucks stopped beeping, that was the Christmas break for the crews, everyone went home to their families

There's a video going viral on FB that someone took on sunday evening showing or should I say jackhammer noise coming from the halted work hotel. Peeps forwarded the video to multiple negril/jamaica higher ups and newspapers
