The traps are in the water... - Oldtimer2 - 04-30-2016 " Running Day " that is what we call the day the traps are set here in Nova Scotia.I just got back from the sea myself and no lose of life ( yet ) ,a drone was in the air and it's my son's 1st official day as a full blown fisherman !!! I wonder if that is a good thing or a bad thing ?!?!?! RE: The traps are in the water... - CardBoardBox - 04-30-2016 You chose to share this timely event and your use of the word "yet" indicates it can be a hard life but you won't know until the journey is finished. To make light, he didn't run into a buoy or crash into the dock, so so far, all is good. Was he stearing, or rowing? The addage (?) Teach a man to fish ... says that you brought him to the point that he can be on his own. So to your question, it seems like a "good thing." RE: The traps are in the water... - kylake - 05-01-2016 How often do you/your son run/pull the traps OT RE: The traps are in the water... - Oldtimer2 - 05-01-2016 Everyday except for Sundays May and June . And on Sundays you are working on the boat . No rest...hehehe RE: The traps are in the water... - kylake - 05-02-2016 I pretty much figured it was a daily chore. Just didn't know for certain. May your son have a very good season! |
