Shark's owner Killed? - Passion4Diving - 04-20-2016 News has come to me that Nicholas, the owner of Shark's, was murdered. Any details available? RE: Shark's owner Killed? - Sharleen - 04-21-2016 RUNAWAY BAY, St Ann — The community of Runaway Bay, St Ann, is reeling following the brutal murder of a prominent businessman Tuesday night. Forty-year-old Nicholas Jones, part-owner of Sharkies Seafood Restaurant in Runaway Bay, was shot and killed at his home shortly after leaving his place of business. His licensed firearm was taken by his attackers. Reports are that explosions were heard shortly after Jones arrived at his home about 10:30 pm. The police were called and Jones’ bullet-riddled body was found lying in a pool of blood beside his motor vehicle. He was taken to the hospital where doctors declared him dead. The police were not able to say how many times Jones was shot, but confirmed that several spent shells were removed from the scene. When the Jamaica Observer visited Jerkies Plaza, where Jones also operated another business, family members, including his mother, were on location but were too grief-stricken to speak. Those who spoke said Jones was a very hard-working man in the community, and so his death had shocked everyone. “People are just numb,” one woman said. “He was hard-working. A very nice young man,” the woman added. RE: Shark's owner Killed? - Firemon - 04-22-2016 Hedo, isn't there a Shark's restaurant across from Tensing Pen next to Ahhbees on da west end? RE: Shark's owner Killed? - rastagirl777 - 04-22-2016 Doesn't seem like its the same guy - the guy the article talks about is a business man from Runaway Bay who has a place called "Sharkies". The "owner of Sharks" in Negril is not the same guy. The place in Negril across from TP is called Sharks, not Sharkies. Gotta be careful what you post on the internet. This is how bad rumors get started. RE: Shark's owner Killed? - Passion4Diving - 04-24-2016 This was exactly the point of my post. Too easy to intermingle one place with another. Needless to say, why another senseless murder. And of an apparent respected business man doing Jamaica good. RE: Shark's owner Killed? - rastagirl777 - 04-26-2016 Sorry, but I thought the point of your post was to announce the murder of someone and it turned out it was the wrong someone. Town cryer stuff gone wrong was what I got. |
