Hi everyone,
People like Ronnie Smith and Rick Simpson are my hero. I've put together this information after years of experience and research to share with my family and friends. I figured it would be useful here. I realize this is still a highly sensitive, controversial and stigmatized subject, so I ask you to read with an open mind and do your own research.
For those of you that have a loved one, child or friend suffering from cancer or other debilitating diseases including opiate addiction, diabetes, epilepsy and autism, this information can be life saving. If anyone has serious questions, feel free to ask. I would be happy to help in any way that I can. AS MUCH AS I WOULD LIKE TO, I CANNOT SUPPLY CANNABIS OIL. Unfortunately people like me are still put in prison for healing the sick. However, I will point you in the right direction though I always suggest growing your own plants and making your own oil.
It's no secret that I have been a proponent of Cannabis for more than half my life. Up until age 13, a team of doctors had prescribed me nearly 20 different medications to treat my physical/mental illness and chemical imbalances. Those included asthma, ADD, childhood depression, Bi-polar disorder and Tourette Syndrome. Tourettes being the most severe which is what I believe led to my depression and mood swings. Not to mention the horrible side effects all those medications had on me including several hospitalizations. When I was 13, I began smoking pot every day, took myself off all medications and have continued using cannabis in one form or another to this day. Anyone who has known me long enough can attest to my progress, the Tourettes (tics) are basically none existent. My aliments that I treat now include probable PTSD (undiagnosed) as well as chronic muscle and joint pain from various injuries and surgeries.
Over the last few years I have become much more active and educated in the medical Cannabis industry including the legality, history, science, chemistry and bio-chemistry that has been focused around this incredible plant. I've worked in the industry all over the world and am positioned to become one of the first medical cannabis processors or "canachefs' here in Maryland. Since this past summer, I have had personal experience and success witnessing Cannabis oil used as a treatment for several diseases including late stage cancer.
It is widely documented that anywhere from 10k - 20k people die EVERYDAY of cancer. Whether it be the progression of the disease or from complications do to the devastating side affects of the treatment used to fight the disease, usually chemotherapy or radiation. I started using Cannabis around the same time I lost my Uncle to cancer. He was my idol and since then, like many others, cancer has become a painful subject on which I feel strongly that alternative and more effective treatments should be made available. Cancer did not kill my uncle, complications from massive amounts of chemotherapy and HIV did. Cancer runs in my family and I feel it is my duty to have as much preventive information as possible on the subject.
In 1974 researchers at the Medical College of Virginia, who had been funded by the National Institute of Health to find evidence that cannabis damages the immune system, found instead that THC slowed the growth of three kinds of cancer in mice — lung and breast cancer, and a virus-induced leukemia. The DEA quickly shut down the Virginia study and all further cannabis/tumor research.

President Gerald Ford put an end to all public cannabis research and granted exclusive research rights to major pharmaceutical companies, who set out — unsuccessfully — to develop synthetic forms of THC an CBD that would deliver all the medical benefits without the “high.” None of these preceded drugs have had the desired effect, although cannabis oil has. In 1983 the Reagan/Bush Administration tried to persuade American universities and researchers to destroy all 1966-76 cannabis research work, including compendiums in libraries. Vast amounts of valuable data was lost.
The war on drugs has been the largest holocaust in modern history. Think of the 10s of millions of people that could have been saved had the original study not been buried and the DEA formed. Thus allowing medical research to flourish uninhibited. If Cannabis were a completely unknown plant and it was found in the Amazon today. it would be hailed as "the most beneficial plant on the planet".
Cannabis is not a one stop shop or fix everything for everyone. Some people have been found to have an allergic reaction that required hospitalization. Although this is solely from inhalation and not oral ingestion. Over intoxication is extremely uncomfortable and lasts for several hours depending on dose. You feel like you're going to die, obviously you wont... Use extreme caution when ingesting oil or edible products! Think baby step when dosing and new to cannabis. In some users there are adverse side effects, all them mild and temporary. It should also be said that cannabis alone for treatment of cancer needs to be accompanied by other steps. A total lifestyle change is required with a cancer diagnosis. Raw vegan diet. Cut out ALL sugars. (Cancer cells feed on sugar and not ATP like healthy cells). Adjusting your body's PH levels to raise the alkalinity to above 7.36, ideally to 7.5 - 8.0 which is an inhospitable environment for the disease. Meditation also plays plays a key role in reducing stress which is a key contributor in creating free radicals which allow cancer to thrive. The calming effect of cannabis is one of its most powerful properties.
When securing cannabis oil to use as a treatment for a life threatening illness such as cancer here are a few things to remember:
The best way to guarantee a safe and potent medicine is to grow and process your own. If that is not an option always buy from reputable dispensary. Or preferably a co-op that has existing cancer patients in remission. Try to avoid buying oil without a lab report stating the cannabanoid content as well as a test for mold, bacteria, heavy metals, pesticides and fungi. Only buy FECO, full extract cannabis oil. This is made from the whole plant so it has all the vital cannabanoids as well as plenty of chlorophyll to help oxygenate the blood.
NEVER BUY CANNABIS OIL ONLINE! It will not be what you expect. CBD oil is completely different than FECO, which is what you want for curing cancer. Although this is useful for many other aliments. Cannabidiol is the worlds greatest anti inflammatory and has powerful antispasmodic properties. See links below. In my experience, the ideal ratio for curing cancer is 1:1 THC/CBD. Along with various amounts of the other 60+ cannabanoids. Lately more and more snake oil salesman have popped up and the majority of CBD oil on the market is garbage. Hemp oil is made from pressed hemp seeds and while having great nutritional value, it will not treat your disease. Use with caution

Medical Marijuana is legal in 27 states now. You can buy "Simpsons Oil" in any dispensary in California providing you have a reccomendation. Typically Simpsons Oil is made using Everclear. If you can find oil that has been extracted with CO2, that's your cleanest bet.
Or...you can make your own, Simpson has widely published the how to all over the internet. The price of weed has gone down considerably, especially in "legal" states and you can usually find "shake" to buy from a farmer if you know one with which to make the oil.
I have a friend fighting bladder cancer right now and he has been using the oil for nearly 6 months.
I wouldn't bail on "traditional" treatment in favor of Cannabis but I would definitely supplement that treatment with it.

long read . . . i definitely would not bail on traditional medicine in favor of cannabis . . . in my earlier years, cannabis did not agree with my brain . . . took good six months to clear the effects . . . we all have a choice, that's the beauty of living in the free world!!

Eh, co2 extraction really only matters if you're vaping or smoking it. If using Simpson Oil as it's intended, everclear is fine for extraction.

Mmm...interesting take....but, I would think, especially when using it for Cancer that you'd want to put the cleanest product in your body as possible (as well as smoke or vape the cleanest body). Actually, I'd think if I were actually ingesting something I'd want to make sure it was the cleanest available. Everclear certainly works and is readily available so that you can make it at home and its the next best thing to C02 extracted oil. Here in California CO2 oil is easily available, maybe not so much in other parts of the country.

I'm glad you all found the info useful. Sorry I've been bouncing around alot lately. Big things happening in the industry! So, when dealing with a terminal disease, especially cancer, I will 100% of time advise a patient to begin immediate Cannabis treatment, cease all chemo/radiation treatment along with complete lifestyle changes. People like myself and other natural healers have seen the devastation caused by the cancer treatment industry. I'll be blunt. It's all money game, the more customers or "patients" the more money. The companies producing these drugs don't care about you, they care about their bottom line and that's the bottom line. Your Doctors were trained by the allopathic medical system specifically tailored by very influential people from the turn of the century to discredit natural medicine and push their form of medicine which almost solely relies on surgery and pharmaceuticals. These doctors all benefit financially by prescribing these drugs and over diagnosing cancer. Just look at the breast cancer industry and damage being done by mammograms and unnecessary surgeries. Less than 30 Medical Colleges in the US teach what equals to even the basics of nutrition. The American medical system and pharmaceutical industries are not interested in curing diseases. Their business model relies on treating symptoms and creating life long customers. I'd be happy to go on a detailed rant explaining just how the corruption happened and how it flourishes today. Just ask... Here are some google words if you want to dig down that rabbit hole but I warn you, once you learn these things, it cannot be unlearned or turned off: Rockefeller pharmaceutical. Now in terms of what treatment to use, RG you seem to be worried more about purity than POTENCY, which are 2 completely different things. First, Co2 extracts are fantastic for smokeable/vapables for their flavor and lack of harmful solvents. I use them when creating edibles that showcase the terpenes and flavonoids of a given strain. However it has been proven over and over again that Co2 leaves behind many of the important compounds that we/I as an oil maker feel are needed to complete the synergy of the plant. Bio molecules like chlorophyll are very important because they oxygenate the blood. That is why all the top oil makers include large green fan leaves in our processing. Not only that but Cannabis is the single most nutritious vegetable on the planet. Extracting all of those waxes, plant salts, Vitamins, Omega 3,6,9s along with all the known amino acids which are most important to the human body, those that our body cannot synthesize on their own, is vital to potency and digestion of the oil. In terms is color and viscosity, the most effective oil processed for curing cancer should be a dark black smooth shimmering substance with the consistency of a BBQ glaze.
There are 3 main factors to consider when preparing oil for treatment. First and most important is BIOAVAILABILTY. Co2 oil on it's own has very poor bioavailablity. Cannabis glandular material is notoriously difficult for the body to absorb. Even though it has been stripped from the inert plant matter, the potency is still not easily absorbed by the body; it bounces off cellular
walls, and continues down your tract going 'in one end, and right out the other,' without absorption. Even if it has been activated, and even when it
is in the form of a sticky filtered concentrate, such as Co2 extract, BHO, or "RSO". It needs a 'vehicle' such as oil, glycerin, or even alcohol, which drastically improves cellular permeability, in order to provide you with the most absorption and the strongest sensations. What isn't absorbed is literally wasted through digestion. Missing out on the potency delivered by the portal vein and valuable metabolization in the liver which converts THC to the much more powerful and therapeutic 11-Hydroxy-THC. Most oils only have 10% or less bioavailabilty. This is where liposomal encapsulation comes in. This creates a coating around the glandular material and allows for much better cell permeability.
Second most important factor is proper decarboxilation 'activation'. A single strain, is NOT limited to providing only a 'single type' of experience when it is eaten, like it generally provides when it is smoked. In fact, it is a little known fact that you can achieve a RANGE of effects and results, depending how well you 'activate' your material, and depending how bioavailable your oil is. Some patients might benefit from 'cold' carboxylic acid intact cannabinoid concentrate. While others might need a concentrate that has allowed certain cannabinoids to degrade (oxidize) into CBN through prolonged periods of heat for a far more narcotic pain killing quality with added sleep aid. I produce oil for opiate addicts to detox cold turkey with that is so over processed and degraded that it basically skips cerebral heady "highs" and knocks them out within 40-50 minutes. Allowing them to sleep through the worst parts of the experience.
3rd and most important to myself is using 100% FOOD GRADE solvents and materials. Also using Lecithin is vital in the encapsulation process while being incredibly beneficial to the body's dietary needs. Pure grain alcohol such as Everclear is the preferred solvent for processing oil by all the trusted healers with the most successful track records. I actually use 100% pure distilled grain alcohol (moonshine) from a trusted source for my processing. We choose the edible solvents we do, not only because they are effective at breaking down cannabis glandular material, but because they help our bodies absorb it. The specific oil source that you choose, even directly dictates where in the body, your oil is absorbed.... this is why the quality of oil matters, as well. Unless you know for a fact that your liver does not function properly, and that it consistently over-metabolizes both food and medications, you should start with medium-chain containing oils such as coconut oil and palm kernel oil, or to a lesser extend, clarified butter. With lab testing becoming more common, we are discovering more and more, that even the best purging methods do not provide results that are as complete, or as clean, as we first assumed. For it to be a truly medical-grade product, you do not want traces of the harmful byproducts produced by non-food-grade solvents, to remain in your medicine.
For my oil that is meant for oral or anal (suppository) ingestion, I usually process ice hash first from fresh/frozen full plant material which is then dried and decarboxilated (unless making carboxyl INTACT). It is then washed with the heated solvent (time depending on desired usage), strained and then emulsified using liposomal encapsulation through the inclusion of several high MCT oils (coconut, avocado, castor) Lecithin, as well as various stages of freezing-thawing-heating and repeating. By using this method this you get rid of any water soluble chemicals or impurities while having the most control of your end product with the highest level of bioavailability. This oil is then placed in gelatin capsules, usually size 00. Or blended with beeswax or Cocoa butter for suppositories. IMHO, this is the single most effective method of treatment for most diseases on our planet including most types of cancer. Breast cancer is tricky because THC can cause certain types to grow. That is when high ratios of CBD are needed. Most of my patients use a combination of several different strength oils/tinctures and methods of ingestion.
The fact is, MANY in our industry are grossly uninformed and rely on technology and not science and nutrition. Many just want to get people stoned. Some of the most "educated" folks think because this way works for some its best for all and that simply is not the case. Every single person responds differently to Cannabis so trial and error is almost an essential part of treatment. There is no one size cures all. My passion is creating patient specific medications based on a variety of factors and there are not many people doing this. The people I have studied under are considered to be some of the most qualified healers in the industry. I'm not in the business of getting people stoned any more. I just want to heal and save lives. To do that means to never stop learning, reading and listening as well as trial and error.
Last thing to keep in mind is just what Cannabis does to our system and why it cures disease. At its very essence, Cannabis brings our bodies back into homeostasis allowing our body to do it's job. When Cannabis cures cancer, its not exactly the Cannabis killing the cancer, like chemotherapy which attacks healthy cells as well. It actually TELLING our body's to do it's job and where to do it. Ingestion of these exogenous (external) cannabinoids activates our body's natural receptors. Which in tern allows our immune system to produce Endogenous (internal) cannabinoids like anandamide and 2-AG. This causes cancer cells to produce ceramide which starves the mitochondria of the cell causing it's death or apoptosis. The best analogy for cannabinoids is little walkie talkies. When you ingest them, they spread throughout the body from various parts of your brain, to the immune system, vital organs and most blood cells. The walkie talkies create a full body network of communication which allows your immune system to now recognize these problems cure and them the way we have evolved.
I could keep going but that should be enough for now. People who die from cancer usually don't follow directions. They continue to eat sugars that feed their cancer. Continue to eat carcinogenic animal products and not follow a strict VEGAN/RAW FOOD DIET! Drink alcohol and continue poisoning their bodies with Chemo/Radiation. Remember, people can live for years and years with cancer but it will eventually kill you. Chemo and radiation will kill you much faster and come with almost guaranteed recurrence. Chemotherapy has been proven to cause Leukemia. With any new cancer diagnosis it is important to try alternative treatments FIRST before switching to more invasive poisons. In my experience I haven't met a single patient who opted to use Cannabis oil as first treatment for cancer while also making appropriate lifestyle changes and it NOT cure them. However, the majority of folks seeking Cannabis oil treatment have already had their organs and immune system destroyed by these poisons. Many have had pieces of them removed including their lymph nodes. It is extremely difficult to reveres these affects and cure yourself after this has happened. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. PUT NATURE FIRST

As someone who does not enjoy Cannabis recreationally but uses it medicinally from time to time your scientific info is overwhelming but interesting. You see, I LIVE in the culture and the "industry" begins right here at ground zero. To me, its common sense. Its not about the solvent, its about the strain and what it does to encapsulate the cancer cells and kill them. I'd rather put the cleanest solvent in my body. But then again, I'm not a chemist, healer, doctor, or industry trend-maker. Simple gal in a simple farming community is all

Having lived in a state where MMJ has been legal for 20 years and having had many friends and family diagnosed and treated for cancer, I'm sorry to say this advise is irresponsible. The top alternative healers in the world agree with me - and they are all about what you are saying about lifestyle changes and natural approaches to beat cancer...but they also say if traditional treatments are a viable option for the individual (it was not for my father nor my friend's mom) Cannabis, Chinese Herbs and Vitamin infusion (plus a myriad of other therapies) should be done in CONCERT with traditional treatments to give the patient the best chance of survival.
Also - one shoe does not fit ALL. I have been, for the past 7 months, living with someone fighting Stage 4 Bladder Cancer. The oil simply was NOT agreeing with him and he had to stop. Chemo was a BITCH no doubt but post-op the oil is agreeing with him much better and he's been using it consistently since. Today is the Pet Scan...we shall see.
Like I said, I'm not a chef/healer/MMJ producer/Chemist - but I've seen and experienced my share living in NoCal and around some of the most knowledgeable people on the planet when it comes to Ganga and healing. I've seen it do miracles and I've seen it do nothing.
