I wrote a paragraph about the use of credit cards for travel and it went poof (became vaporware?) a few hours after it was posted onto an existing thread. Coincided with some spam being shitcanned from this site, I think. The hole does seem more than a few hours worth of postings, ie July 7,8,9.

The spammer has created a profile a day, yet the late PM 7/6 is followed by a late PM 7/9 registration (todays) so it proves that 7/7 and 7/8 are absent.

Hey Sorry guys,  my browser crashed during a version upgrade and I couldn't get past the resulting errors. As a result,  we had to restore from the last backup. 

The spam from the other day is probably back. It's a pain to deal with without the upgrade,  so I will hopefully try again this weekend.

Thanks Dread for all the work you do and have done on this board. I would say that most people that are not in IT or know IT work do not realize how much work is in involved in maintaining a message board.
If an upgrade gives you more tools to control bad stuff so be it even if some data or posting are lost it will be best in the long run.
