When I lived in JA full time, he was all over the island & quite often in Negril, staying across from the Rock House but just a little bit before.  There was a place called Awee Maway Village there.  He was also in St. Anne's Bay area... just all over the island.  Very friendly, very nice.  Way before Bob Marley and the Wailers became famous.
