Long Term House Rental Available - Loveja77 - 03-18-2015
Hi Guys!
Since it was quite a task looking for rentals when I moved, I thought I would post this here for anyone interested. It's for someone else so message me if you want their contact info.
Its a 2 bedroom 1 bath cement house in Westland Mountain area of West End. It's Furnished but better for long term as it does not come with dishwear like pots, pans, plates or towels, sheets etc.
Full kitchen but has Mini Fridge.
Gated property with lots of foilage and fruit trees. That means bugs and critters. Might be better suited for a guy unless you are used to country living. Just putting it out there
Available April 1st and the rent is $35,000 JA plus electric.

When I was living on Westland Mountain Road the biggest rat I have ever seen got into my apartment. It woke me at about 5am. Now I am terrified of rats. I grabbed my (precious) broom and jumped up on top of my bed. The rat climbed up under my sink and was in my cupboards. (so gross) I called and woke up my landlady who was kind enough to come down to my place with her dogs. She let them into my place and bravely opened the cupboard - the dog got the rat in a matter of seconds.
I dont think I would ever do it again without a dog by my side. Like they do Cell Phones, someone should rent out dogs in Negril.

RW .....lol.....reminds me of something my hubby said to me a few years ago.
We went to a take away shop over here in England, as we walked in, a rat ran out...I said no way was I getting my food there now.
Hubby said relax...you know how many places you eat at in Jamaica with rats in them....I have tried to block that from my mind ever since lol....hate those long tails....

Rats, roaches and bugs of all sizes and shapes that I swear don't exist anywhere else are an all too common occurrence when living long term in a yard in Negril. Doesn't matter where - they are there!
Living the way I do there for a few months per year has really taught me how NOT to be such a wimpy "girl". I still will not go anywhere near the rat in the trap and although cockroaches still schkeeve me (I lived in Manhattan after all) I am MUCH less of a baby about it now.
