Dream Vacation In Jamaica - macyoder - 03-05-2015 I need your help putting together a dream itinerary for buddies I met in Costa Rica. I do most of the island in any given 2 weeks period. I know this would be a bit much for a first timer or normal people. I am currently thinking of : 2 but possible 4 nights in Montego Bay - my hubby needs the rest, the Ziva by Hyatt awaits and the swim up bar is calling. 2 nights in Negril - cliff/beach in the same area. 2 to 4 nights in Port Antonio with a possible stay at Strawberry Hill - you only live once . 4 nights at my home . Yes, lots of driving but the journey is as important as the destination. What's you dream Jamaica trip combo?. RE: Dream Vacation In Jamaica - macyoder - 03-06-2015 So for the 67 people who viewed this post, the dream is over...lol! RE: Dream Vacation In Jamaica - Oldtimer2 - 03-06-2015 Well since you put it that way . 1 week in and around base camp Treasure Beach .2 Treehouse Negril . 3 Sometime in PA. That's about it for me . RE: Dream Vacation In Jamaica - macyoder - 03-06-2015 Let's keep the dream alive. RE: Dream Vacation In Jamaica - jitterbug - 03-09-2015 too much movement macy . . . st. mary, porty and negril would be sufficient. that would require a driver or a car . . . i'd skip treasure beach, way too dead and the beach is not inviting!!! I'd say TB is very laid back, not dead. The beaches there I prefer greatly to Negril, there's really no comparison for me... When we first visited TB, we spent an entire day just walking around saying "wow". RE: Dream Vacation In Jamaica - macyoder - 03-09-2015 I pay dearly to get around in Jamaica. Negril is a keeper and the Blue Mountains look inviting. "dead" . . .somehow, seems too low key even for me, who really doesn't much. some ppl find portland quiet, yet, i love it there!! we all have different tastes for sure!! RE: Dream Vacation In Jamaica - TAH - 03-09-2015 Definitely. Portland is still on my "to do" list, I came pretty close to booking there for our trip later this month but decided to do Negril/TB again. I think Costa Rica will be next up, maybe Panama. RE: Dream Vacation In Jamaica - macyoder - 03-09-2015 Portland is now what my hometown was a few decades ago. My relatives and friends who have since 'progressed' think its too simply or to much bush. I ended up doing Portland solo, which was homey. |
