Jonkuno - DAWN - 12-26-2014 http://christmas-celebrations.org/484-jonkonnu-in-jamaica.html I was staying at Moonlight one year and was around seaside when we all heard music and a ruckus in the road. We went through the gate and stood against the fence as a group of Jonkuno characters past. One that stuck out was a masked man with a cape and whip that he would crack in the middle of the road! They were singing, chanting and making noise as they went by. It was quite a sight! Myself and those standing with me had goosebumps and were looking at each other wondering if we were really experiencing this. RE: Jonkuno - kylake - 12-27-2014 Thank you Dawn, interesting/festive blend of culture I had never heard of before.
