I will not bring it here as it feels like child pornography and i will not promote that.
Did anyone else see the video on facebook? It was highly disturbing . It was a video of a little boy and girl dancing or daggering or basically having simulated sex on the dance floor. It went on and on - front, back ,front, back, and she even swung her leg over his shoulder and kept thrusting - oh and the worst part - little girl (around 8 yo) was in a bikini and boy was in swim suit only.
I am still reeling from it. It was filmed at a party with other children and adults cheering them on.
Please no one bring it here or ill deleted it- i don't want us associated with it
but i do feel the need to talk about it
it really left me feeling sick

Absolutely disgusting for sure. I don't do Facebook thankfully.
What's wrong with adults who encourage this, Just disgusted is all I can say. They must have been taught this!

I watched that shit right after I woke up this morning. It was disturbing to say the least, and this is coming from someone who is pretty laid back. The girls dancing before that in their little bikinis was disturbing too. While I do my best as a traveler not to pass judgement in a foreign land, I am having a hard time with this one.

I saw it too. It was both disgusting and sad. There was one female who kept going on about how it was just part of Jamaican culture and questioning why we would keep going to Jamaica if we didn't like the culture. Which was ridiculous. She would not let up on it either. I found her opinions very disturbing. Glad to see the video was deleted.

Oh, no! This is horrible and to think that these young people will perpetuate this sort of mentality that it is OK is really sad. Really disgusting of these adults!

I have trouble with adults doing this let alone a child. There are some Jamaicans that work in my town for the summer. Sadly, most of them think the daggering thing is "just a dance". I'm the prude for blushing and giving them the mother "look".
A guy friend of mine, who is dating a lady from the states, recently was at one of the wet and wild or soakin wet parties and getting his dagger on. As you know, the photographers are out at these events and the younger Jamaican really do love their picture taken. My friend was no different. Numerous poses with him and various partners.
His lady friend saw the photos and went absolutely ballistic! He says he was just having fun at a party and that she has nothing to worry about. He asked me if I would be mad if it were me. HELL TO THE YES! I told him of the recent debate that some were having regarding the "dancing". Explained that here in the states we don't dance like that unless you are on stage getting paid. He explained or justified that in Jamaica they don't have any trouble with it, it's part of "their culture".
He honestly didnt feel that she should have been upset about it...
